Family Foods 9-8-09

I don't normally stock up on stuff at the local grocery store. It's usually cheaper to drive half an hour to go to Target or WalMart. But, the local store had their "Truckload" sale this week. A lot of stock-up pricing with coupons on top of it. I also went to the Our Family Brand web site and printed an additional coupon. Here's my load:

1 gallon milk
Vlasic Dill Relish (on sale $1.19)
2 cans Our Family (OF) tomato juice (on sale 99 cents each)
12 cans OF vegetables (12/$5.99) _$1 coupon when you buy 12
2 cans OF kidney beans (12/$5.99)
12 cans OF mushrooms (12/$5.99) _$1 coupon when you buy 12
2 cans OF diced tomatoes
12 boxes OF mac-n-cheese (12/$5.99) +$1 coupon when you buy 12
2 pkg ruled index cards
3 (12 pack) Dr Pepper (3/$10.00) +$3 coupon when you buy 3
3 deposits on the pop cans

The OF web site has a printable coupon for $5 off your order when you purchase $20 in OF products.

Original total (regular prices) = $66.16

After sales and coupons = $29.99 (plus $1.80 in cans to return for deposit)

50% savings!!!!!!!!! Love it!

Target 8-19-09

I did a little shopping while I was waiting to get my photos done at Walgreens. Printed off a ton of Target coupons before I left. I ended up with 2 transactions at Target today (to maximize my shopping and coupons). The Target printables usually say 1 per transaction.... Below is my total of both transactions.

2 bags of Combos snacks (2 $1 Target coupons)
2 bags of Pepperidge Farm cookies (2/$5 sale + 2 $1 Brand coupons)
1 box Poptarts (on sale for $1.46 + 75 cent Target coupon)
1 loaf Archer Farms Cinnamon Bread (on sale $2.49)

1 box Trix Cereal ($1 Target coupon + 55 cent Brand coupon)
1.54 lbs Bananas (50 cent off 1 lb Target coupon)
2.33 lbs Bananas (50 cent off 1 lb Target coupon)
1 box Honey Nut Cheerios ($1 Target coupon + 55 cent Brand coupon)
1.37 lbs Granny Smith apples ($1 off 1 lb Target coupon)

Total out of pocket = $25.80

The receipts say that my total saved was $25.36

Walgreens 8-19-09

There was an online coupon for Walgreens today. You could get 1 free film processing. So, I took in a roll of film that I've been putting off for a while now. And got a 24 count roll of film done for nothing!!! And they did it in an hour!

The cashier couldn't believe how much I saved. She had never had the register tell her that the manager needed to over-ride the total. Even the manager was impressed!!! I'm telling you, this coupon thing is really a rush!!!

New to couponing

Hi all. I'm new to couponing, and I'm trying to get organized. I figured if I set up a place to put all my sites together I would be more apt to keep it up!
